This magnificent video footage titled, “Wild Scotland” brings to you some beautiful scenes and landscapes from the wilderness of Scotland. This superb video covers only a handful of the scintillating areas from the highlands to islands on the west coast to John O’Groats and North Berwick on the east.
The cinematographer has meticulously planned his visit to various parts of the country for capturing some of the most phenomenal scenes on offer. He strategized his travels to such pinpoint accuracy so that he was able to capture the desired light conditions whether it was dusk or dawn.
The video also includes some fabulous shots of a deer near Ardnamurchan and a group of seals in bay near John O’Groats. Since the weather was merciful, so the filming did not take awfully long as was the case in the videographers’ previous video footage titled “Beautiful Scotland”.
Behind the scenes
The videographer had a great time while filming this video. Some of his mind numbing adventures include hiking up Bidein a’Ghlas Thuill early in the morning to capture the stupendous serrated ridge of An Teallach and listening to the weird sounds made by stags in the valley down below. Capturing Base Rock near North Berwick was another fine experience since it is home to the world’s largest single rock Gannet colony with almost 40,000 pair of birds. The video was shot primarily with the DJI Inspire 1 and remote shots were taken with the DJI Phantom 3 that is seamlessly portable.
