When I was a kid, I fancied sports cars and F1 cars. As a matter of fact, I was attracted to anything that seemed to portray sporty looks and boasted fast speeds. Well, not unlike many of you, I could not afford to buy an expensive sports car but with these fabulous RC F1 sports cars, I have my dreams come true. I along with my own kids have had lots of fun toying with these RC cars. We have used lots of off-road RC vehicles. However, in this post, I will be sharing with you my experience with these three top RC F1 cars.
1/14 RC Ferrari F1 Cars
The spectacular 1/14 RC Ferrari F1 Car can be had for no more than just $40. It is an officially licensed Ferrari product that boasts a splendid outlook. As a matter of fact, you can quite easily make it one of your collector items, displaying it on your desktop and nobody would ever guess that it was an RC car in reality.
The engineers have worked hard on the design paying attention to detail. The interior looks amazing and the amount of detail you get at such a low price is simply unbelievable. It is a manifestation of magnificence and is a must-have jewel if you are really into RC cars.
The radio controller boasts a Ferrari logo and has been given the shape of a Ferrari steering wheel. The car performs the best on a smooth surface. We tried to drive it on grass but it was not able to live up to its hype boasting low speeds.
The suspension on the wheels is not good enough to sustain harsh terrains. It is easy to drive and requires 4AA batteries and a 9V one. It goes without saying that the quality of the batteries will dictate the drive time your get with this gem of a device. The way the doors open is stunning while the headlights and brake lights render this machine remarkable versatility.
- Reasonably priced
- Licensed by Ferrari
- Boasts an awesome design
- Easy to drive and handle
- The controls are way too simple
- Does not come with a rechargeable battery
RC Bugatti F1 Cars
Here is another spectacular RC F1 car that is a live incarnation of aesthetics. I have literally fallen in love with the orange and black design and had my kids not been into driving it like crazy, it would have been resting on my desktop at my office.
I am not an expert when it comes to Buggati Veron but I was quite astounded by the attention to detail paid by the engineers to this little gem. It costs just around $30 and still boasts remarkable quality. There have been reviews by users that the side mirrors tend to come off.
This is something that the manufacturers have done on purpose. The basic idea behind this is that in case of a crash, the wing mirrors should pop off rather than snap off. On the whole, the RC Bugatti F1 Car boasts formidable quality and is able to sustain a few crashes.
The car runs of 4 AA batteries and boasts decent enough speed. It is suitable for smooth terrains and while it does work on grass, the performance won’t be as good as what you should get on a flat surface. The steering wheel that comes with it is similar to the sports look.
The car is easy to drive and maneuver and even if your kids have not driven an RC car before, they should have no difficulty driving this car. Another thing worth noticing is the quietness associated with the car. Generally, RC cars produce a lot of noise but in comparison to their counterparts, the RC Bugatti F1 Car does not make a lot of noise at all. On the whole, the RC Bugatti F1 Car is a really cool car and your kids will surely have lots of fun with it.
- Reasonably priced
- Boasts impressive look
- Easy to drive
- Sports nice speed
- Not suitable for rougher terrains
- Wing mirrors tend to pop off in case of a crash
RC Lamborghini F1 Car
When it comes to RC cars on Amazon, the RC Lamborghini F1 Car is the best seller that comes with an official Lamborghini license. The developers have done a lot of hard work on this one. I really like the wine red color and its sleek design.
Nevertheless, the car costs less than $20 and is the lowest cost device on our list. It is a great machine to be presented as a gift to your loved ones or even your kids.
The RC Lamborghini F1 Car sports a top speed of 10mph on a flat surface and requires 3AAA batteries to get powered up. Similar to the other two cars that have been discussed so far, the RC Lamborghini F1 Car offers a nice driving experience on smooth terrain and does not fare well on a rough one.
I have, however, misgivings about the car’s controller. Instead of opting for a conventional RC car controller or fashioning one in the shape of a car steering wheel, the developers have gone for this poor quality video game controller.
It is easy to use, for sure, but it does not look too spectacular. Having said that, this is a low-cost budget car so one should not be too harsh on it. It is reasonably priced and if you want to have some fun with RC cars, this is the one to be had.
- Boasts a sleek and phenomenal design
- Top speed of 10mph
- Handling is super-easy
- Costs just under $20
- The controls are way too simple
Things to consider when purchasing an RC F1 sports car
Here are a few things that you should keep in mind when purchasing RC F1 cars for your loved ones and kids.
These types of RC cars are designed to be driven on smooth surfaces. Although they cannot handle grass, mud, or rocks, the fact of the matter is that they were designed to conquer these sorts of terrains. So, if you want to get maximum fun with this car, ensure that you drive it on a flat surface.
As discussed above, one of the devices had low quality and rather an unimpressive controller. Many officially licensed RC F1 cars tend to save a few bucks by opting for a low-quality controller. But if you are not interested in getting a video game controller with the RC car, look for a vehicle that does come with a unique steering wheel like controller.
Most of the RC cars that fall in the price range of $20 to $50 are powered by conventional batteries. It is judicious to keep in mind the number of batteries you will be needing and to keep them in reserves to get an uninterrupted experience.
All of the three RC F1 cars mentioned in this list are cool and there is not much of a difference among the three. It all boils down to your particular choice whether you are interested in a Ferrari, Lamborghini, or a Bugatti. They all offer similar driving experiences, boast similar top speeds, and sport the same kind of a built.
The Lamborghini comes with a low-quality radio controller but costs just around $20. I believe that it is the easiest out of the three to drive. All of them have a charm of their own so go for the one whichever you like the most.
