Drone racing league is always ready to introduce you to a range of new innovative machines whether you are interested in high speed vehicles or attracted by their aesthetics. The Racer3 is a new device that has been designed especially for the second season of the league and it promises plenty of entertainment for the aficionados.
The world famous and highly anticipated Drone Racing League will kick off in June this year. An enormous amount of money has been pumped into the competition as viewers will be able to catch live action on their favorite sports channels including ESPN, the worldwide leader in sports entertainment.
In contrast to your local drone racing track in which each of the contestants comes with his own different machine, the Drone Racing League provides the same device to each of the participants. Since all the players get their hands on the same type of device, so it all boils down to their piloting skills and prowess that determines the winner. Believe you me, handling these super fast devices is not an easy task by any stretch of imagination and not many of the contestants are able to even complete a single lap without going through a few crashes.

You will all understand that the Drone Racing League requires a number of quadcopters on the ready to get through the season without any stoppage. There are reports that the league will be starting the proceedings with at least 450 machines and more will be built as and when required. I am very confident that you will be witnessing tons of damaged machines throughout all the games. So, it will be interesting to see how does the carbon fibre chassis hold up under extreme pressure.

Here are a few specifications of the Racer3 drone: The maximum speed of these drones will be 85MPH while they will be able to go from 0 to 80MPH within a second. A diffused polycarbonate covering protects the delicate components while more than 200 LEDs with RGB lights will allow for each drone tracking and pilot identification. The device weighs around 900 grams which is just about 2 pounds and will be propelled by 6-inch tri-blade propellers.
